Dr Chek Tog was incredible to work with. He was thorough, has a very open and friendly manner and explained my surgical procedure (hiatal hernia repair and Nissen Fundoplication) clearly and professionally. After the surgery he visited me in the hospital armed with photographs of his repair/ handiwork and explained the whole surgical process clearly.
I’ve had a complex medical history due to a fall at work, and out of all of the specialists I’ve seen, he is definitely one of, if not, the best!
Thanks to Dr Tog, I have been able to stop medication I’ve been on for years, I can now eat a dessert on a night out (if I choose to) and my family and I don’t live in fear of me waking in the middle of the night choking on what I’d eaten and/or being unable to breathe because of it. It’s also fantastic to not be hoarse for a couple of days after an episode or aspirating food/acid into my lungs from all of the above. The surgery has been life changing.
I highly recommend Dr Chek Tog to anyone who may require Upper GI advice and/ or surgery.
The icing on the cake for me, is that the reception staff at both his Essendon and Unihill/ Bundoora clinics were amazing. They were some of the most welcoming receptionists I’ve experienced and incredibly helpful- making what could have been a traumatic experience (consultations, dealing with WorkCover, surgery bookings etc.)- a very positive one.

The clinic is just lovely and it was seamless arriving and attending my appointment. Staff were terrific and my surgeon had plenty of time to answer my questions.

I’ve seen three different specialists at this clinic (for different reasons), and every experience has been fantastic. Their professionalism, genuine care, and the way they make you feel comfortable really stands out. The reception team are also wonderful; warm, organised, and welcoming from the moment you arrive.

What a great team of staff at Specialist Surgical Group Essendon. The staff were always welcoming, greeted me with a smile, and were happy to have a chat.

Dr Brian Yue is simply a genius .... had 4 procedures with him id never ever trust another surgeon. The work he performed was AMAZING no excessive pain great after care . Hes honest, caring and professional. Don't go to Turkey or Thailand its not worth it. BRIAN IS THE BEST AND REASONABLY PRICED. Where to start.. What a amazing group of people, The reception staff are amazing!! Very kind. They all went out of their way to answer any questions and took the time to help with all paperwork that was required and all with a smile!! Chek Tog performed surgery for my husband recently. We are extremely pleased with the outstanding level of care provided throughout the entire process. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The post-treatment follow-up visits gave us great reassurance that the surgery went well.

I had my band removed by Dr. Lim. The surgery went really well. I was woried a little bid but Dr. Lim made me comfortable and reassured. I was informed well during whole procedure. I used UNI Hill Specialist Surgical Group for Bariatric surgery and was extremely happy with their service, professionalism and friendly staff, Fab and Ros in reception where so nice and welcoming, Dr Togg was my Surgeon but made me feel like a friend, his advice was exceptional and i was very impressed with the whole team, always a smile, always a comfortable environment, I totally recommend.
