Dr Ben Keong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne. He completed his general surgical training at Austin Health and earned his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2013.
To further refine his skills, he pursued extensive post-fellowship training in upper GI and bariatric surgery through the Australian and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA) at major medical institutions, including Box Hill Hospital and St George Hospital in Sydney, which is the only accredited Bariatric Centre of Excellence in Australia.
He is also accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) for diagnostic and interventional upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
