Dr Ernest Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne. He completed his general surgical training and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2001.
To further specialise, he pursued advanced training in endocrine surgery in Canterbury, England, and in laparoscopic and bariatric surgery in Hull, East Yorkshire, England, where he also served as a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery at Hull Royal Infirmary.
Dr Lim is an Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne, where he contributes to surgical education and research.
